What we collect

• No accounts and no cookies. Joining the email list is optional, and the only thing we ask for then is your email address (see below).
• No analytics or advertising scripts.
• Our fonts are served from Ilmwell itself, so reading a page does not contact a font service.
• Today's Hijri date is worked out in your own browser from your device's clock. It is not sent to us.

The email list

If you join the email list, we keep your email address, the date you joined, the page you joined from and the wording you agreed to. Nothing else: no name, no IP address and no tracking.

We use your address only to email you new guides, and only because you ticked the box to ask for them. It is stored in our own database on Cloudflare's servers in the EU, which host this site, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone. When we start sending, every email will carry an unsubscribe link. To be removed now, email [email protected] and we will delete your address.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, we keep what you type (your name, email address, the reason, the page it is about if you give one, and your message) and the time you sent it. No IP address. It is stored in our own database on Cloudflare and emailed to our team inbox so we can reply. We use it only to answer you, and we delete it on request.

To stop floods of automated posts, both forms count how often each visitor sends them. That count uses your connection's address for a minute at the network edge and is never stored by us.

Links to other sites

Our references link to the Tanzil Project and to hadith collections so you can check them. Those sites have their own privacy policies. If a support link is shown on our Support page, it opens a separate site run by someone else. We receive no information about you from reading the page or from clicking that link, and what that site collects is set out in its own privacy policy.
